Helicopters Help Execs Transverse Europe
With the massive cloud of volcanic ash canceling flights across Europe, UK’s PremiAir has been able to conduct helicopter charter flights. The company has ferried executives around Europe since Friday afternoon, with service to Germany, Belgium and France, including to Paris until the French ATC stopped all VFR traffic. PremiAir was forced to ground its helicopters last Thursday, but restarted operations on Friday afternoon following consultations with the engine makers for its Twin Squirrel and Sikorsky S-76 fleet.
