Edmonton Police Receives Patrol EC120B

Eurocopter has handed over a second EC120B to the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) in Canada. EPS will employ the helicopter in emergency response and patrol missions in the greater Edmonton area, helping to lower response times for emergency calls. Staff Sgt. Dave Berry describes the EC120B as a “resource multiplier,” noting that EPS “can be on site faster, increase the speed and efficiency of investigations and provide better support for our officers on the ground, especially during pursuit situations.” The helicopter will carry one pilot and one tactical flight officer.
