EC145 Gains NVG Certification

Eurocopter’s EC145 has received Canadian, European, and U.S. certification as a night-vision goggle (NVG)-capable aircraft. Eurocopter said it is the first original equipment manufacturer to offer an aircraft with that certified capability. The certified configuration is based on the EC145s flown by the French Sécurité Civile agency and uses the Thales MEGHAS display system and CMC Electronics CMA-3000 flight management system. The internal and external NVG-compatible lighting supports use of ITT Night Vision’s F 4949 or Noga Light NL-93 NVGs.  For related news
