EC135 Joins EastCare Medical

Eurocopter has handed over an EC135 to Pitt County Memorial Hospital, which will use the helicopter for its EastCare air medical service in North Carolina. Based at Rocky Mount-Wilson Regional Airport (RWI), the EC135 is part of a fleet upgrade that also involves Eurocopter delivering two EC145s in April and May of this year. The EC145s will be stationed at the hospital’s heliport (NC91) in Greenville, N.C. The helicopters are set to replace a fleet of three BK-117s operated through a lease with Air Methods.
