Ducommun AeroStructures has won a follow-on , $10.3-million contract from Carson Helicopter for the fabrication and delivery of additional advanced composite main-rotor blades for upgrade packages for the Sikorsky Aircraft S-61 helicopter. The blades provide the S-61 operator with additional payload, speed, and range on the same fuel capacity. Ducommun AeroStructures has produced more than 50 of the blades since 2004. The new contract runs through 2008. All work will be performed at Ducommun AeroStructures' Monrovia, Calif. facility. For related news
