Cobham HeliSAS Gains TSO

Mineral Wells, Texas-based Cobham Avionics has received an FAA technical standard order (TSO) for its HeliSAS stability augmentation system and autopilot. The TSO approves the system components of HeliSAS. Cobham has obtained a supplemental type certificate (STC) to install HeliSAS on the Robinson R44, and is pursuing STCs for the Bell 206/407, Bell-constructed U.S. Navy TH-57 and Eurocopter AS350.
