CBP H-60s Patrol Border After Shooting

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency is dispatching two Black Hawks to southeast Texas to fortify border patrols there a week after one of its Airbus EC120s was hit by ground fire. The EC120 made an emergency landing in Laredo, Texas after it was hit and damaged by several rounds, according to the FBI, which said the pilot was unhurt. The CBP Sikorsky Aircraft H-60s, which have some armor against ground fire, will patrol the border with the Mexican state of Nuevo León from Laredo to the Lower Rio Grande Valley. Mexico said it is cooperating with the FBI in investigating the shooting, though it said deploying the Black Hawks risked militarizing the border.
