Air Force Responds to GAO Report

The U.S. Air Force has responded to the Government Accountability Office's report concerning the selection of the Boeing H-47 helicopter for its new CSAR-X program. On Monday, the GAO sustained protests by the bidding team of  Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky.  The GAO recommended the Air Force amend the solicitation to reflect its intent with respect to the evaluation of the Most Probable Life Cycle Cost, reopen discussions with bidders and request revised proposals.  The Air Force, in a released statement, said it is "reviewing the summary of finding and believes it can comply with the intent of the recommendations." The statement says the Air Force will review the details and "determine an appropriate plan of action." For related news
