Two Flight Schools Take Schweizers

Two North American helicopter operators have taken delivery of Schweizer helicopters for their training operations. Broomfield, Colo.-based Rotors of the Rockies, which is a Schweizer sales center as well as a flight school, took delivery of a Model 300C Jan. 30. The aircraft, which is leased from Amber Woodley, is to be on display during Heli-Expo 2007. Woodley bought the distinctive, maroon-and-silver helicopter to complete her commercial and instrument ratings and flew it 1,279 nm (2,369 km) from Schweizer's Horseheads, N.Y. headquarters with her flight instructor to Rotors of the Rockies’ base at Jefferson County Airport. Also on Jan. 30, Helicraft 2000 Inc. accepted its second 300CBi. The helicopter is equipped for procedural IFR training. Based in Quebec, Canada, Helicraft 2000 now operates a fleet of seven Schweizers.      For related news
