Pakistan Takes Cobras
Pakistan took possession of eight Bell AH-1F Cobra attack helicopters from the United States today in a continuing effort to stop Taliban guerillas from crossing the border into Iraq, The Washington Post reports. The eight helicopters are equipped for night flying and are part of a $50-million Foreign Military Sales program with Pakistan that will also provide 20 refurbished helicopters to the Pakistani army. Pakistan had already acquired 19 Cobras.
