Pilot Faces Charges in Deputy’s Death

A helicopter pilot faces trial on charges that he failed to maintain his helicopter, leading to a crash that killed a Franklin County, N.C. sheriff's deputy. Ben Barrick is charged with involuntary manslaughter for the 2004 crash that killed Deputy Ted Horton.
