DRS Wins OH-58 Optics Support Contract

DRS Optronics of Palm Beach, Fla has received a “new firm-fixed-price” and cost plus fixed fee contract for maintaining the mast-mounted optics system used aboard the Army’s OH-58 Kiowa Warrior. The agreement with the Department of Defense is a direct result of last year’s cancellation of the armed reconnaissance helicopter program, the logic being that the OH-58 fleet will have to remain in service while the ARH program is restarted from almost scratch. The 5-year indefinite quantity and indefinite delivery contract will cover spares, repairs and services. For related
