NTSB Probes Arizona EMS Midair

A “go team” from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board is due to arrive in Flagstaff, Ariz. this morning to start its probe into yesterday’s midair collision. The two Bell Helicopter 407 air ambulances reportedly were both on approach to Flagstaff Medical Center when they collided about a mile from the hospital at about 1548 local time. Six people are reported dead as a result. One of the 407s, N407GA, was operated by Air Methods, according to the NTSB. The other, N407MJ, was  flown by Classic Helicopters. NTSB Chairman Mark V. Rosenker, chief spokesman for the probe, is expected to brief the media today. For related news
