Sikorsky is vying with
Boeing to sell heavy-lift helicopters to Turkey, according to the newspaper
Today’s Zaman. Turkey has been talking with
Boeing about acquiring 10 CH-47F Chinooks, the paper said, and has asked U.S. government approval of the deal. Now
Sikorsky Aircraft is proposing a version of the CH-53K, the next-generation heavy-lifter it is developing for the U.S. Marine Corps.
