Standard Aero Expands Beyond 250

Standard Aero is expanding beyond its position as a major provider of Rolls-Royce Model 250 engine repair and overhaul services. The Winnipeg, Manitoba-headquartered MRO company has won approval from Turbomeca to support its Arriel 1 and Arriel 2 engines in the Asia-Pacific region through Standard Aero Singapore. That facility has been providing field service for Turbomeca Asia Pacific since 2006. Standard Aero President and CEO Paul Soubry said he is looking to expand Turbomeca work further to offer operators the full range of support for those engines. Acquired in mid-2007 by Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, Standard Aero today is unveiling its re-branded services, which combine the maintenance operations of Landmark Aviation (also bought by the Dubai firm) under the Standard Aero banner.
