Eurocopter Plans Debuts at Heli-Expo

Eurocopter plans a couple of product debuts at Heli-Expo in Houston next week. The company on the show’s opening day, Feb. 24, at 11:30 am, will unveil "a new member of its comprehensive helicopter family"--widely considered to be the EC175 it is developing with the Chinese manufacturer AVIC 2. The 7-9-ton, multi-role helicopter is intended to compete head to head with AgustaWestland's AW139. Eurocopter also is exhibiting its EC225, the 11-ton aircraft targeted at the offshore oil and gas support sector that is making its first-ever appearance in the United States. The aircraft on display will be the first to enter the oil and gas market in the Gulf of Mexico, according to Eurocopter. For related news
