National Guards Taps Goodrich for UH-60A/L Hoists

As an outgrowth of 2005's Hurricane Katrina, Goodrich will supply rescue hoists for UH-60A/L Black Hawks under a new contract with the U.S. National Guard Bureau. The internally-mounted hoists are to be retrofitted into the Sikorsky Aircraft birds starting immediately. That work is to continue through 2010. After Katrina ravaged the U.S. Gulf Coast in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, scores of National Guard helicopters were dispatched on rescue and relief missions.
