CHC Helicopter's new search and rescue S-92 in the United Kingdom has flown its first mission. The
Sikorsky Aircraft bird, flying from the U.K. Maritime and Coastguard Agency base in Stornoway on the Western Isles of Scotland, transported a 77-year-old woman with chest pains. CHC's CHC Scotia unit is under contract to operate SAR S-92s and
AgustaWestland AW139s for the coast guard under a five-year contract. Its selection displaced Bristow Helicopters, which had flown the coast guard mission for 18 years.
