Bahrain Wants Bell 412s for SAR Work

Bahrain is in the market for search-and-rescue helicopters and thinks the Bell Helicopter 412 is the answer. The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency has told Congress the Persian Gulf archipelago kingdom off Saudi Arabia wants to buy six of the Pratt &Whitney Canada PT6T-powered medium twins under a Foreign Military Sales transaction valued at $160 million. The helicopters would help Bahrain increase its air mobility capabilities and continue force modernization. The deal would include spare and repair parts, publications and technical data, personnel training and training equipment, U.S. government support, contractor engineering and technical support services, and other logistics support.
