Bell Will Assemble ARH in Texas

Bell Helicopter will assemble the U.S. Army’s armed reconnaissance helicopter (ARH) at its plant in Fort Worth, Texas. The decision to assemble the ARH in Texas is part of Bell’s plan to cut rising costs and reduce scheduling delays.  Two development ARHs were built at Bell’s production plant in Mirabel, Canada and then transferred to the plant in Arlington, Texas for integration of weapons systems. Airframe parts and tail booms will continue to be manufactured and partly assembled in Mirabel. Final assembly and installation of military-specific equipment will be done at Alliance Airport, Fort Worth. For related news
