First Finnish-Built NH90 in Flight Test

The first NH90 assembled in Finland has completed inaugural flight tests successfully, reports the Finnish firm Patria, which did the work. A high-cabin variant destined for the Swedish Defence Forces, it is the third Swedish NH90 to fly. The other two were built by Eurocopter in Marignane, France. Of the remaining 16 Swedish NH90s, Patria is to assemble 14 and Eurocopter two. Owned by Finland and Eurocopter parent EADS, Patria is assembling 50 NH90s for Sweden, Finland, and other operators. The Finnish assembly line is the fourth for the NH90; besides France, the others are in Germany and Italy. A fifth will open in Australia. The aircraft is a joint venture of Eurocopter, AgustaWestland and Stork Aerospace. For related news
