Rotorcraft Report: Bell Taps Kaman for Composites

Kaman Aerospace’s Helicopters division has won a $53-million contract to supply composite helicopter blade skins and skin core assemblies for Bell Helicopter of Fort Worth, Texas. The agreement involves 18 different assemblies for the following helicopters: Bell 406, 407, 412, 427, 429, 430, H1 and BA609. Kaman’s HeliworX facility in Bloomfield, Conn. will build the assemblies beginning in late 2009.
