UM Survival Flight Replaces Bell 430s with EC155s
The University of Michigan Health System’s Survival Flight program has begun flying a new Eurocopter EC155, with two additional EC155s scheduled to join the fleet in coming weeks. The helicopters are part of a replacement program involving three Bell 430s that UM has flown since 1998. The EC155s are the first emergency medical service-configured variants in operation in the U.S.
