St. Johns Hospital Begins Saints Flight

St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, Ill. has begun its own helicopter transport service. Dubbed "Saints Flight," the hospital now has a twin-engine BK117 operated by ARCH Medical Services (a subsidiary of Air Methods) based on the premises. Private EMS operators will continue to fly patients to St .Johns' medical complex, which includes a nationally-recognized children's hospital, but the location of St. John's helicopter greatly reduces the response times for transports.
