Army Awards HEATCON Aircraft Repair Contract
Seattle, Wash.-based HEATCON Composite Systems has been contracted by the U.S. Army to supply materials for repairing composite helicopters and airplanes. The HEATCON equipment allowing flight crews to properly follow a ‘cure cycle’ on composite aircraft while in remote locations with difficult environments. Deliveries on the $2.6 million order for portable hot bonders silicone heat blankets, tap hammers and vacuum-bagging consumable materials are slated for completion in Spring 2012.
