Standard Aero Gains New Brand, Expands Beyond Model 250

SERVICES | MAINTENANCE

Standard Aero is expanding beyond its position as a major provider of Rolls-Royce Model 250 engine repair and overhaul services.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba-based MRO company has won approval to support Turbomeca Arriel 1 and Arriel 2 engines in the Asia-Pacific region through Standard Aero Singapore. That facility has been providing field service for Turbomeca Asia Pacific since 2006. Standard Aero President and CEO Paul Soubry said he is looking to offer operators the full range of support for Turbomeca engines.

Standard Aero was acquired in mid-2007 by Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, which has now combined its Landmark Aviation maintenance operations under the Standard Aero brand. The combined entity has more than 4,000 employees worldwide.
