PRODUCTS/ENGINES

Turbomeca Asia Pacific has signed an agreement with Citic Offshore Helicopter Co. to support operators in China who use the French engine manufacturer’s Arriel 2 and Makila 1 powerplants.

Citic will provide field technicians trained and qualified by Turbomeca. Citic’s helicopter fleet is composed of nine Eurocopter Super Pumas and five Eurocopter EC155s. The Singapore-based Turbomeca Asia Pacific subsidiary of Turbomeca will place one field representative in Shenzhen.

Citic Offshore Helicopters provides general aviation services to domestic and foreign users. Other activities in which it is involved include repair and maintenance of helicopters, helicopter engines, airborne equipment and parts, import and export of helicopters and a variety of other aviation services.

Turbomeca has deployed 250 engines in the Chinese civil and military sectors. It now has three support centers in Singapore, Manila and Kuala Lumpur.
