Phoenix Heliparts Certificate Revoked
Alleging “improper repairs” using incorrect parts and “falsifying maintenance records,” the Federal Aviation Administration has stripped Mesa, Ariz.-based Phoenix Heliparts of its air agency certificate through an emergency revocation. FAA claims that company mechanics did not follow repair station and quality control manuals when conducting repairs, one of a handful of allegations, including tagging unserviceable parts as serviceable for reuse; not documenting inspections and maintenance; and not using approved manuals for major repairs and alterations. Phoenix Heliparts can appeal the revocation to the National Transportation Safety Board.
