Falcon Helicopter Completes Liquidation

Robert Schlotzhauer has liquidated Falcon Helicopter Inc., his Lee’s Summit, Mo. company, as part of a sentencing agreement with a federal court for falsifying documents and laundering money in a helicopter parts scheme. The 15-count indictment handed down in March of 2006 accused the now 68-year-old of selling destroyed helicopter parts and engaging in deceptive activity to cover it up, including falsifying FAA documents. Pursuant to Schlotzhauer's March 2008 sentencing agreement, the Dec. 3, 2008 liquidation of the company is in addition to a $550,000 fine, a $63,854 restitution order, and home confinement for 12 months, according to Don Ledford of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Kansas City.
