Rotorcraft Report: PZL Cabins Used in Army Black Hawks
The U.S. Army received its first Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk with an interior made by its Polish unit, PZL Mielec. It is the initial delivery of three helicopters with PZL-built cabins The UH-60Ms—which include a cockpit from Jacksonville, Fla.-based Kaman and a tail cone from Turkish Aerospace Industries—underwent initial assembly at Sikorsky’s facility in Bridgeport, Conn. Final assembly, flight ops and delivery took place at the manufacturer’s headquarters in Stratford.
