Company Profile: Keystone Helicopter: The New World Class Standard in Helicopter Services

Over the last 50 years, Keystone Helicopter has gained a reputation as an industry leader in quality rotorcraft services. Today, the company employs over 500 people at one of the finest and fastest growing facilities in the country. In 2007, Keystone added a new state of the art paint facility to complement its world class completions and MRO services at the Heliplex near Chester County Airport in Pennsylvania.

In addition to the new aircraft completions it performs for its parent company, Sikorsky Aircraft, Keystone Helicopter operates the premier full-service maintenance and customization center in the northeast U.S. Keystone is factory-authorized by Bell, Eurocopter, MD Helicopter, Rolls-Royce, Turbomeca, Pratt & Whitney and Sikorsky. The company is also an authorized dealer for virtually every major avionics manufacturer.

As an FAA-and EASA-certified repair station (EGRR5263, Keystone Helicopter provides complete rotorcraft services, including airframe maintenance, avionics integration and installation, component repair and overhaul, engineering, custom fabrication, machining, paint and refinishing, "green aircraft" completions and complete interior refurbishments. Keystone Helicopter also offers complete repair and overhaul of Rolls-Royce 250 Series engines, as well as repair services on Turbomeca Arriel and Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 engines. This year, Keystone was also awarded Production Certificate 121NE by the FAA, signifying they have met the most stringent quality standards and demonstrated fully compliant production capability required for production of the S-76 helicopter.

Keystone Helicopter’s engineering services division provides comprehensive technical and certification support for both rotorcraft and fixed wing owners and operators. As one of only 40 FAA Designated Alteration Stations (DAS) worldwide, it can issue STCs under the auspices of the FAA, enhancing its ability to provide timely support to its customers. Its engineers have issued more than 100 STCs, with expertise in structures, avionics, systems engineering, flight critical software, and flight-testing. Overall, Keystone offers a wide range of certification services, including STC, TSO, PMA and FAA/DER-approved data for 337s.

"The bottom line: At Keystone Helicopters, we demand of ourselves the highest levels of quality, service and value," said Keystone President David Ford. "With the new backing of a world class OEM, a dedicated and experienced workforce, and new enhanced facilities, we are the new World Class Standard in rotorcraft services."
