An Aussie Ex-cop May Be a Thief

Mark Cavanagh, 48, turned himself in to police last month and was charged with the theft of the ex-military Bell Helicopter OH-58 Kiowa. According to The Age in Australia, Cavanagh took the helicopter from a private hangar at Bankstown Airport in western Sydney some time between December 2007 and May 2008. It was found by police on May 6 at Taree Airport on New South Wales' mid-north coast and returned to its owner. Australian police confirmed that Cavanagh retired last year on sick leave.  For related news
