Kentucky Gains Helicopter EMS

Air Evac Lifeteam opened a base at the Danville-Boyle County Airport in Junction City, Ky., and will serve rural communities within a 70-mile radius of Danville. Air Evac runs more than 75 bases throughout the central states of the U.S. and the Danville-Boyle County Airport base will employ 12 to 15 people. Each Bell Helicopter 206 LongRanger crew includes a registered nurse, paramedic and pilot who will be on call 24/7. Crews provide on-the-scene medical care, rapid transport to medical facilities and critical care inter-facility transfers. Crewmembers are trained in advanced pre-hospital care in order for medical care to begin at the scene and continue en route to the hospital. For related news
