Malaysia's Maritime Enforcement Agency will buy three AgustaWestland AW139s for surveillance and search and rescue operations, according to the Malaysia Star newspaper. It said the aircraft would be delivered in mid-2010 and based in Kuantan to cover the east coast, Sabah and Sarawak. The three would be would be the first batch of 12 the agency would buy for long-range search and rescue and surveillance operations, particularly in the Straits of Malacca. For related news
