ASU Receives Bell 205A-1 Certs
FAA has issued a supplemental type certificate (STC) for Aviation Specialties Unlimited’s night vision modifications on a new Bell 205A-1 in operation with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department. The helicopter will perform aerial firefighting, SAR, law enforcement and utility tasks. The San Diego Sheriff’s Department aviation unit flies three MD530Fs, one MD500D, two Bell 205s and one Bell 407.
