Thailand Launches Helicopter Support
Beginning in April, government-run Airports of Thailand (AoT) will provide support facilities for helicopters at Suvarnabhumi Airport. In a statement released by airport director Serirat Prasutanont, AoT will begin supporting commercial and medical helicopter operations as soon as the International Civil Aviation Organization grants its approval, which is expected any day now. The support facilities will provide more efficient and expedient arrivals and departures for medical and VIP helicopters coming into the airport, especially during disaster operations.
