Pima County Orders First AS350

American Eurocopter has received its first order from the Pima County Sheriff's Department (PCSD) in Tucson, Ariz. for an AS350B3e AStar. The AStar replaces a Hughes 500 that was involved in an accident earlier in the year. The helicopter will perform border crime enforcement, tactical insertions and search and rescue (SAR) missions. Eurocopter expects to deliver the aircraft in early 2012.
