Metro to Complete STAT MedEvac EC135/145s
STAT MedEvac has placed an order with Shreveport, La.-based Metro Aviation for completions work on five Eurocopter variants—three EC135s and a pair of EC145s. Plans call for medications to begin on the first aircraft in January 2012, including installation of HEMS and single-pilot IFR equipment, air conditioning and a number of other medical options. Completions are scheduled to run through August 2012.
