HAI to Meet on Public-Use Aircraft
Helicopter Association Intl (HAI) has scheduled a January 20 industry forum in Alexandria, Va. to address questions and issues related to public-use helicopter operations. The meeting comes in response to recent NTSB recommendations to FAA and the U.S. Forest Service as a result of its investigation into the 2008 crash of a Carson Helicopters-operated Sikorsky S-61. As part of its probable cause into the accident, NTSB issued 21 recommendations to FAA, including strengthening oversight of public-use aircraft.
