The Nebraska Army National Guard dedicated its Army Aviation Support Facility in Grand Island, Nebraska. The 100,000-square-foot facility cost more than $19 million to build and is home to the Guard's fleet of six CH-47 Chinooks and six OH-58 Kiowas. The facility includes a maintenance area, a heated hanger, operations and training facilities. Nebraska's Guard have used its helos in the War on Terror, but closer to home they are used to fight forest fires and assist during natural disasters. For related news
