Rotorcraft Report: 14 Killed in Chilean Crash

On February 15, 2009, a helicopter crew of two had retrieved 12 firefighters who were battling a blaze in the rural Maule region when their helicopter crashed into the Andes, killing all aboard. Emergency officials at the site said that there was dense mist and light rain. What caused the crash is undetermined, investigations are ongoing. The helicopter is owned by a Chilean paper company, Celco.
