The Helicopter Assn International plans to hold the first HAI/Federal Interagency 2008 Helicopter Firefighting Safety Forum early next month. Registration is open for the event, which is to be held Feb. 5-6 in Meridian, Idaho (8 mi from the Boise airport).  The meeting is targeted at operators who fly helicopter firefighting missions and is intended to provide the latest from the U.S. Forest Service and Interior Dept. and industry experts on safety initiatives, accident analysis, operational firefighting contract protocols, "and other related pre-solicitation contract information."
