Uniquely Interoperable Communications For Evolving Public Service Missions.
Wulfsberg Electronics designs and manufacturers Flexcomm, the world's leading multi-band, airborne FM/AM radio communication systems. Additionally, Wulfsberg designs and manufactures a complete line of Chelton Nav/Com products for the corporate aviation, military trainer, commuter airline, and helicopter markets.
Wulfsberg's Flexcomm communication system supports all channel frequencies from 29.7 MHz to 960 MHz, including P-25 compliant digital, analog, trunking and encryption standards, for rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft used in law enforcement, fire control, medical evacuation, search and rescue, oil exploration, electronic newsgathring and military applications.
Wulfsberg's Nav/Com System can be configured with VHF Comm (8.33or25 kHz channeling, 118-152MHz), VOR, ILS, Marker Beacon, DME, Transponder, ADF, color LCD, discrete controls, and a Radio Management Unit. The system includes both ARINC 429 digital interfaces as well as conventional analog interfaces to support new or retrofit installations.
Wulfsberg Electronics is one of 12 Chelton Avionics, Inc. companies, including ACR Electronics, Artex Aircraft Supplies, Chelton Antennas, Chelton Aviation, Chelton Flight Systems, Chelton Satcom, Comant Industries, Orion Electronics Ltd., Northern Airborne Technology (NAT), Seimac and Sea Tel. Wulfsberg's engineering, manufacturing, repair and overhaul, customer service, sales and marketing activities are located in a 60,000-square-foot, ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 certified facility at the Prescott municipal airport in Prescott, AZ.
The company introduced the first-ever radio covering all FM and AM communication channels from 29.7 to 960 MHz -- the RT-5000. The RT-5000 continues to lead the industry in communication capabilities, satisfying the needs of advanced agencies and industries throughout the world. This advanced system can be configured with two independent, internal, transceiver modules in addition to the main full-range broadband transceiver. It also now boasts P-25 digital and analog trunking and conventional standards, Motorola digital and analog SmartNet and SmartZone trunking, both analog and digital encryption standards including DES-OFB, DES-XL, DES, DVI-XL, DVP-XL, AES and OTAR, as well as external interfaces to the military KY-xx family of encryption systems. Original RT-5000 systems can be upgraded to include the P-25 digital and analog feature set.
The newest member of the Flexcomm family is the P-2000 panel mounted transceiver with a color LCD that is optionally night vision goggle (NVG) compatible. The P-2000 can be configured with one or two transceiver modules covering any combination of 137-174 MHz, 380-470 MHz, 450-520 MHz, 764-870 MHz bands. P-2000 configuration options include P-25 digital and analog trunking, Motorola digital and analog SmartNet and SmartZone trunking, plus analog and digital encryption standards, including DES-OFB, DES-XL, DES, DVI-XL, DVP-XL, AES and OTAR.
Wulfsberg continues to grow in the Nav/Com avionics industry by recently introducing the FliteLine family of discrete Nav/Com control units boasting color LCD technology, available as an option is Night Vision Goggle (NVG) compatibility, as well as combined functionality options to free up valuable panel space in today's aircraft. The controls are interchangeable with Series III controls, and are available with 2 out of 5 tuning for retrofit of Collins/Gables controls. Wulfsberg also introduced a next-generation VHF AM Comm and VHF NAV receiver, a next-generation multi-channel DME and a Mode S transponder will be introduced in the near future.
