Rotorcraft Report: BrightLine’s Unique Pilot Bag

PRODUCTS

Most helicopter pilots don’t own what they fly, let alone take it home with them at the end of the day. This means they must carry their gear aboard the helicopter at the beginning of their flying day and pack it up and carry it out when they are through. Between the headsets, charts and dozens of little items, it can turn into a real juggling act.

To make carrying all of those things easier for a helicopter aviator — or anyone who flies just about anything, for that matter — the people at BrightLine Bags in San Rafael, Calif. have introduced the Pilot Flight Bag. The bag is constructed from heavy-duty nylon and sectioned into more than 15 compartments suitable for just about everything, including headsets, publications, eyeglasses, pens, flight computers and spare batteries. It can even be unzipped along its center line, creating two separate units, thus eliminating the need to carry everything when only a few items are needed. It sells for $129 through their Web site at www.BrightLineBags.com.
