Sikorsky Names S-97 Raider Suppliers
Stratford, Conn.-based Sikorsky has named 35 companies that will take part in producing two prototype S-97 Raiders for U.S. military evaluation. The Raider program will be self-funded by Sikorsky and the companies. Suppliers for the aircraft’s structures include Aurora, Cytec, East/West Industries, Fischer, Hexcel, PPG and Triumph Group. Companies involved with the avionics will be Avionics Instruments, BAE Systems, Eaton, Esterline Control Systems, Garmin, Goodrich, Hamilton Sundstrand, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. Ametek, Ducommun, Eaton, General Electric, Honeywell, Liquid Measurement Systems, Meggitt-USA, Spectrum and TIGHITCO will be involved with the engines and propulsion systems. S-97 rotors and transmission supplies will come from Emerson-McGill, Fatigue Technology, FAG Canada, Goodrich, Hamilton Sundstrand, Kamatics, LORD Corp., Pankl Aerospace, Parker Aerospace, Schultz, SIFCO and Triumph Group. Cytec, Eagle Aviation Technologies, Hexcel and Rotating Composites will handle the blades.
