Rotorcraft Report: People

U.S. Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy has been awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously for "selfless heroism and steadfast courage" while leading a four-man team that came under attack during a mission in Afghanistan June 27-28, 2005. While trying to extract the four-man squad, a Boeing MH-47 Chinook carrying was shot down, killing its crew and eight SEALS and eight U.S. Army Night Stalkers on board.

EADS North America has named retired U.S. Army Col. John D. Burke as Light Utility Helicopter vice president and program manager.

Brett Fadgen was chosen as paramedic of the year for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Fadgen flies with Stat MedEvac, West Mifflin, Pa.

OuterLink Corp. has named Andrew Joseph (right, top) as CEO.

Omniflight Helicopters, Addison, Texas has named David Pilotte (right, middle) as its executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Darrell Capra (right, bottom) has been appointed to head the Minneapolis regional training center of Dallas Airmotive.

Andy Williamson, chief executive of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, Coventry, England was awarded the Charity Principal of the Year at the Charity Times Award ceremony in London, England. The award is presented to the head of an organization who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and management skills in the running of a charity..

Mike Marie has been appointed regional sales manager for DAC International, Austin, Texas. DAC distributes and sells avionics equipment..

Malachi Nordine has joined SkyTrac Systems as its senior manager of service delivery. SkyTrac is a telecommunications technology company.
