Rotorcraft Report: Maverick Sees 20,000 EC130 Flights This Year

PRODUCTS

American Eurocopter last month delivered the 33rd EC130 to Maverick Helicopters.

Dale Cowley, head of operations at the Las Vegas-based tour operator, and Mike Eggers, assistant director of maintenance, visited the Eurocopter subsidiary’s Grand Prairie, Texas facilities to accept the aircraft. Maverick is the largest operator of EC130s in the world. Maverick has a helicopter fleet made up entirely of EC130s, which it calls the Eco Star. It received its first EC130 in March 2003 and since has accumulated more than 78,000 flight hours on the fleet. The company expects to provide over 20,000 flights on its Eco Star fleet this year.
