Rotorcraft Report: Pressure-Jet Power
PRODUCTS
Pegasus Helicopters reported it has signed letters of intent to distribute at least 255 of its PH200PJ aircraft with partners covering Russia and other members of the Commonwealth of Independent States and Brazil.
The Boulder, Colo. company said the PH200PJ is a two-seat helicopter that uses pressure-jet technology, with no tail rotor and no main rotor drive system. It will be supplied in both kit and fully assembled forms, according to the company.
The company said it has a letter of intent with Gals Aero in Russia and others in the commonwealth under which it would sell 155 of the aircraft, subject to the PH200PJ gaining certification by those governments.
It also said it has a letter of intent with Helitraders Ltd to sell at least 25 PH200PJs in kit form in the first two years and 75 more in the following two years. That also is contingent on the aircraft gaining Brazilian certification.
The company did not display the PH200PJ as planned at the EAA AirVenture Show in Oshkosh, Wis. because of what it said was the need for an engine upgrade and additional flight testing. It claims to have orders for 25 PH200PJs.
