NEW YORK,
Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Sionix Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board:
SINX) has hired Rubenstein Public Relations (RPR) to promote the Elixir, the
company's portable water treatment system that uses dissolved air flotation
(DAF) technology as a pretreatment to produce clean, pharmaceutical-grade
water.
Unlike traditional water treatment systems, the Elixir is environmentally
friendly, as it uses ordinary air pressurized and dissolved to produce
microscopic bubbles that remove 99.5+ percent of suspended particles and
biological agents without chemical byproducts.
"We look forward to working with Rubenstein Public Relations to advance
our mission of providing potable drinking water that is environmentally
friendly and cost-effective," said James Houtz, president of Sionix.
Sionix, a publicly-traded company, is preparing to release preliminary
test results of its five-year pilot project at the Villa Park Dam in Orange
County, California.
RPR will focus on generating coverage of the EPA results, as well as
securing features on the humanitarian and environmental benefits of the
Elixir's advanced technology.
"The portable nature of the Elixir System has incredible global potential
in developing nations and in the industrial marketplace," said RPR President
Richard Rubenstein. "We are looking forward to raising awareness of this
technology as a vital tool for humanitarian causes and as key infrastructure
for municipalities and industries."
The Elixir System is built into a standard ISO shipping container and
easily transported by truck, rail, ship, airplane or helicopter. This unique,
practical feature makes the Elixir effective in emergency situations such as
natural or manmade disasters, or for easy use by contractors needing to
deliver clean water in remote locations within the United States or elsewhere.
The Elixir can also be transported to areas of the world where clean water is
essential for survival, including military bases and developing nations.
A Sionix system will process a minimum of 225 gallons of fresh, potable
water per minute, about 325,000 gallons per day. This is enough for a
community of 2,400 people (about 500 to 600 homes) and its infrastructure.
Sionix systems are made to perform independently and remotely at a cost less
than other mobile units and with the goal of removing viral, bacterial,
organic and metallic contaminants in accordance with EPA clean water
requirements.
