Rotorcraft Report: US Helicopter Expands to NYC's East Side

US Helicopter on Feb. 5 expanded its scheduled airport shuttle to offer flights between New York City’s East 34th Street Heliport and John F. Kennedy International and Newark Liberty International airports. Service from East 34th Street initially will servedthe afternoon demand, with 10 flights each to and from JFK and Newark.

The operator also offers service to the airports and Connecticut from the Downtown Manhattan Heliport. The expansion to East 34th Street became possible after US Helicopter reached an agreement with the U.S. Transportation Security Administration for federally-approved security screening there.
